January Update
God has been moving in my life in multiple ways. I am excited to share with you how.
Women's Brunch
I got to host the second women's brunch before I left for Provence. It was such a pleasant time to get to know each other better. We got to hear testimony's on God's grace and how faithful He is. One thing that really stood out to me was how relational God is. He's constantly moving on a powerful and personal level. He sees our struggles and needs and reaches out to us with His guiding hand.
French School
I'm excited to have finally made it here to Provence! It was a little touch and go getting here with the Covid situation here in France. So Praise God there were no problems with the traveling. It's been a mixture of emotions being here. Turns out it was immersion from the start. So coming in as a beginner was a challenge. I got emotional and frustrated the first week. I kept having to remind myself that God didn't call me here to fail!
'I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. '
Psalms 121:1-2
I'm happy to report that my French comprehension is improving and I'm understanding way more than when I first started. Please pray for me that I can not just understand but also speak French at a better level.
Rediscovering old passions
I am rediscovering my love of art and creating new things. Something the Lord guided me to do was to dive in and start painting. It has been a nice reprieve from all the intensity that is an immersion French school. It helps my brain not explode so much lol. What I have really enjoyed doing is watercolor painting and writing encouragement cards.
Prayer Requests
• French School - Please pray that I am able to learn all that I can while I am here.
• France - Please pray that Covid cases decrease so we don't have to go into another lockdown.
Thank You
I am so thankful for your support and faithfulness. There are not enough words to express my gratitude.
I ask that you continue keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
Love and Blessings,
Christina
